Loads of playful checked and striped cottons have arrived in stores and online recently, perfect for a classic Make by TFS Bloom Shirt!
Hooray! Our popular Make by TFS Bloom Shirt + Dress pattern is now available in paper format. To celebrate, we made up a new version in one of our recent cotton arrivals. A cotton Bloom is a wardrobe classic, easy to layer up over merino in cooler months, or pair with a tank for breezy sun protection in the heat! Make by TFS Bloom Shirt + Seersucker Check Cotton - Dijon
Our Bloom Shirt features a casual a-line shape with a subtle swing through the body, a back yoke, front button placket and patch pocket, collar and stand, and long sleeves with button cuffs and placket. We made up a size 12 shirt for Charlotte, with no modifications, and this took 2.2m of our Seersucker Check Cotton - Dijon. This is a narrow fabric at 107cm wide, and we matched our checks, so the overall yield was slightly more than the recommended 2.1m (115cm wide fabrics). Bloom comes with three collar options and we're loving the vintage vibes that the half penny collar lends this shirt! For the finishing touches, we used x9 Trocas Shell Buttons 12.7mm in Smoke, available in stores and online.
