We are searching for a fabric-loving retail star to join us in the full-time(32 hours) role of 2IC (Second in Charge) at our Central City store on College St. As the 2IC, you’ll be a proactive and passionate individual who excels in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the team to meet sales targets. You’ll be key in creating memorable in-store experiences for our customers and act as the go-to person in the Store Manager's absence. Operational excellence, an eye for visual merchandising, and product knowledge will come naturally to you.

Ideally, you will have:

• A genuine passion for fashion, garment construction, and sustainable textiles, with a love for sharing the value of beautiful fabrics and inspiring creativity.
• An appreciation for textiles that goes beyond sales, reflecting our values of mindfulness and quality.
• Experience with store and business KPI expectations and a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills to balance tasks efficiently.
• The ability to collaborate with the Store Manager and team to meet shared goals and values.
• Enthusiasm and a positive energy that motivates those around you.

In this role, you will:

• Proactively identify and act on sales opportunities to achieve store targets.
• Support the team in providing exceptional customer service, aligning with the store’s high standards.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused environment in-store, using your excellent interpersonal skills.
• Assist in the training, and development of part-time team members.
• Maintain and implement visual merchandising standards, ensuring displays align with brand directives.

What we look for: For all of our retail store roles, we look to hire fabric-loving individuals and the ideal candidates will be those able to deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll also have a genuine love for fabric, as well as garment construction knowledge. In our retail positions, you will need to be pro-active in achieving sales targets and be passionate about providing a high level of customer service at all times. Previous retail experience is an advantage, however the ability to work in a team, passion for our product, and the right knowledge/skillset are the most important factors for us when hiring for our retail stores. The successful candidate will have an innate love for beautiful fabrics and will be excited to work in a creative and inspiring environment.
