Auckland Store — Full Time Retail Assistant
We are searching for a fabric-loving individual to join us in a full-time role of Retail Assistant in our Newton Road, Auckland fabric store. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver exceptional customer service, have a genuine love for fabric as well as garment construction knowledge. You will need to be pro-active in achieving sales targets and be passionate about providing a high level of customer service at all times. Previous retail experience is an advantage however the ability to work in a team, passion for our product, and the right knowledge/skillset are the most important factors for us when hiring for our retail stores.
The hours for this role start at 32 hours, across 4 days, but there is a possibility that it can become 40 hours, across 5 days.

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver exceptional customer service, have a genuine love for fabric as well as garment construction knowledge. The Fabric Store Head Office — Marketing Manager

We're searching for a very talented individual to develop and execute our marketing strategy, vision, and purpose in a way that both engages and educates consumers about the importance of ethically sourced fabrics, and the benefits of home sewing. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a marketing plan that drives revenue growth, as well as educational outcomes, using our unique brand story and creative content in a way that aligns with our vision.
Working closely with our senior leadership team, you will help to shape and develop The Fabric Store's customer journey and brand story, with a focus on engagement and education. To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, a collaborative team player, detail oriented and able to think and operate strategically. You'll need to have a keen mind for creating and executing marketing campaigns that deliver commercial success. This position is based in our state-of-the-art Morningside Head Office, working alongside our office team.
Ideally you will have:
- A passion about fashion, home sewing and sustainable textiles, and can genuinely appreciate the value in spreading the core messages of the brand to better people’s skillset and wellbeing
- A connection to textiles beyond just selling a product
- At least 5 years previous marketing management experience with a love for growing sales
- Developed and implemented campaigns that helped grow new business
- Impressive time-management and organisational skills
- An analytical mind and a good understanding of business finance and working within budgets
- Personal responsibility and a positive hands-on attitude

Christchurch Store — Retail Store Manager
We are searching for a fabric-loving retail star to join us in the full-time role of Store Manager in our fabric store, located at The Tannery.
As a Store Manager, you'll be an experienced Leader who is both pro-active in achieving sales targets and passionate about providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll inspire your team to achieve exceptional results and create unique and memorable in-store experiences for our customers. Celebrating and recognising others, operational excellence, visual merchandising and product expertise will all come naturally to you.
Ideally you will have:
