Auckland Head Office — Wholesale Supply Chain/ Logistics Co-ordinator & Sales Support
We are searching for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join us in the full-time role of Supply Chain/Logistics Coordinator and Sales Support at Wall Fabrics, our wholesale division. In this role, you'll be a professional individual who is both proactive in managing logistics and passionate about ensuring smooth operations. Working closely with senior management, the wholesales sales team and the retail managers, you'll help manage our procurement processes, manage our global shipping logistics, and work alongside our small, but passionate team in other day to day operational tasks that relate to sales support.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics Coordinator role
- A good understanding of both a wholesale and retail environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
- A proactive approach to communication
- Prior experience using Inventory Systems
- A keen interest in fabrics, sewing, and fashion
- Knowledge of international and local supply chain workings, freight, and logistics, ideally within the fashion/garment/textile industry
In this role you will:
- Work with senior management to ensure smooth operations for procurement of product
- Ensuring that the required fabric certifications are sought obtained, tracked, and recorded against products
- Collaborate with suppliers on certification requirements, recording, and management
- Manage fabric orders, including generating orders and tracking their progress from ordering through to delivery
- Manage stock movements and transfers to retail outlets through inventory software
- Arrange and send fabric and color references/approve color matches with suppliers
- Correspond with suppliers regarding procurement and shipping
- Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, and cartage companies to book and manage inbound and outbound freight and logistics
- Obtain quotes and determine the best services for local and international freight requirements
- Regularly review costs and service of all freight providers
- Communicate updates on fabric orders and shipments, both directly and through internally shared documents and systems
- Working within both wholesale and retail divisions s in a varied range of tasks to support sales opportunities.

What we look for: For all of our retail store roles, we look to hire fabric-loving individuals and the ideal candidates will be those able to deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll also have a genuine love for fabric, as well as garment construction knowledge. In our retail positions, you will need to be pro-active in achieving sales targets and be passionate about providing a high level of customer service at all times. Previous retail experience is an advantage, however the ability to work in a team, passion for our product, and the right knowledge/skillset are the most important factors for us when hiring for our retail stores. The successful candidate will have an innate love for beautiful fabrics and will be excited to work in a creative and inspiring environment.
