Fashion Revolution
17—April 2024
Fashion Revolution Week is here and our teams are getting involved! The aim? To amplify the #FashRev campaign for transparency within clothing and textile supply chains, and to promote slow sewing by inspiring others with #IMadeMyClothes!
This year marks 10 years of Fashion Revolution Week, an annual campaign bringing together the world’s largest fashion activism movement for seven days of action. The theme for 2024 is a return to Fashion Revolution's ten core aims, which you can read here. We’re constantly inspired by the desire of our customers and followers for knowledge and upskilling, and the sewing world is amplified by a sense of constant interconnectedness. Making your own clothing requires time, patience and skill, and we’re grateful to have many sewists in our TFS team who genuinely understand the value of slow fashion and slow sewing. In celebration of Fashion Revolution Week (15th-21st April), a handful of our team members across New Zealand and Australia have been sharing their creations with us, read below. We hope this inspires you to share your own projects using #IMadeMyClothes!
P.s. During Fashion Revolution Week there are loads of community events! Check out the global calendar to see what's happening near you.
Get involved with #FashionRevolution2024 and share your makes with us on Instagram and TikTok! Help increase awareness by using the #IMadeMyClothes hashtag, not just for Fashion Revolution Week but year-round.
