Jade's Tie Blouse

Puff and Pencil — Tie Blouse + Volume Sleeves + Peggy Collar

The Tie Blouse is a basic V-neck bodice with two front tie closures. Jade made up a size L and paired the blouse with the Volume Sleeves and Peggy Collar. She used 2.75m of a deadsrock Lyocell Cotton blend from our Online Store, in the colour Ecru, plus 0.75m of interfacing. Jade describes the fit as true to size, although next time she would make the sleeve length a little longer as they came up a bit short. She found the instructions easy to follow and would recommend printing the manuals, at a small scale, if you can. The project was split over three different manuals and she found it fiddly to switch between on a screen. Jade is an advanced sewist, and her top tip would be to read through the instructions first before you begin. She also suggested fusing the collar pieces for a lightweight cotton fabric like this, and she added a line of top stitching to the collar facing to help it sit flatter.

Lightweight Stripe Lyocell / Cotton - Ecru
