Becca's Reeta Dress
19—December 2023
This week Becca from our Online Store has made a beautiful printed Reeta Dress, by Named Patterns!
Online team member Becca has sewn up the Reeta Dress from Scandinavian brand Named Patterns! This relaxed shirt-inspired dress is perfect for the southern hemisphere summer, breezy and effortless in a new soft crepe print. Read on for details and photos!
Pattern — Reeta Dress by Named Patterns
Reeta is a classic, loose-fitting shirt dress pattern with a mid-length hem and simple detailing. Becca sewed a size 10, using 2.75m of our Paint Splat Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Primary, a little 50gsm white fusible interfacing and 10 of our 12.7mm trocas shell buttons. Becca says this pattern is a perfect cut for our range of deadstock viscose/rayon crepe prints available online and in store. The gentle drape of these crepes is ideal for a casual summer dress like Reeta! Becca shortened her dress by 9cm and added a fabric drawstring for the waist tie. She says this intermediate level pattern is a simple one to make up and the instructions are easy to follow!

Fabric Used — Paint Splat Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Primary
Named Clothing recommend choosing a light to medium weight non-stretch fabric such as cotton, linen or silk. This pattern comes with plenty of ease, so a drapey woven such as viscose or rayon will also work well! We love the pop of bright colours in the print that Becca chose, and there are loads more options in stores and online if you want to try something simillar.
Available online shown below are our Fairy Bread Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Ivory, Pebble Dot Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Asparagus, Canterbury Bells Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Black Multi and Pebble Spot Viscose / Rayon Crepe - Black
With loads of deadstock fabrics, including viscose and rayon crepes available online and in stores now, it's the perfect time to sew for the festive season! Shop online here and don't forget to share your makes with us over on Instagram and TikTok.
