We have recently added new colours to our Exclusive Linen collection in-stores and online, so today we bring you a super easy DIY project inspired by Japanese style aprons we found on Pinterest. These ones are made up in a couple of our new season shades. If you have been looking for a great DIY Christmas gift for a messy baker or maker in your life, give this Japanese Style Apron DIY a try!

In case you didn’t know, we have our very own Exclusive Linen range milled just for us here at The Fabric Store. These slightly lustrous linens come in a beautiful palette of colours and are a very versatile garment weight…perfect for a range of projects! For this DIY, you will need 1.2m of a woven fabric of your choice (based on fabric 135cm wide). The aprons featured in this post are made up in Paprika, Deep Olive and Pickle which are all 140cm wide.

We haven’t gone crazy with instructions, as this is a pretty simple sewing job for those with a little experience! We have put together printable guidelines so you can have a crack at this project at home. Click here for the link: Download DIY Japanese Style Apron Guidelines

If you give these aprons a try, don’t forget to share them with us on social media! Follow us on Instagram @wearethefabricstore and #thefabricstore to show us your creations! Happy sewing!
