Sydney Opening Event

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting community friends in our new Sydney store in Newtown. DIY Daisy and Melody of Soften Studio joined us and we crafted, chatted, ate and laughed the night away. We had the best time and we hope those who were able to join us did too!

It's always such a treat to connect with our community in real life! Last Wednesday evening we came together to celebrate our new Sydney space in Newtown, and what a thrill it was to chat about all things fabric and sewing, as well as see so many me-made's up close! Crafting together made the evening very special, as did our Q & A with ambassadors DIY Daisy and Melody Delatorre (Soften Studio). A huge thank you to all who came along!

We invited our guests to contribute to a community quilt, which we'll sew up and hang in store. We can't wait to share the finished piece!

TFS Ambassadors Daisy and Melody (above right) shared their sewing journeys with us in a fun Q&A. We loved hearing their sewing advice and learning more about how they turned their passions into careers!

Melody also kindly brought along her smocking machine 'Sally Stanley', pictured above, along with a few garments she has made with it and a tiny smocked dress she wore as a baby that her grandmother had made for her; the inspiration for her own personal smocking journey!
