Poppy Coat in Cinnamon!

We couldn't resist sewing up our Poppy Coat pattern in one of our new wool coating colours!
A glorious rainbow of coating colours has just arrived online and in stores and we couldn't wait to sew one up using our beloved Poppy Coat pattern! With brown tones having quite a moment, we all swooned over our new Cinnamon Stick Brushed Wool Blend Coating and love the the teddy-bear-chic vibe it's giving! Make by TFS Poppy Coat
Our Poppy Coat pattern is a modern oversized coat with an enveloping silhouette and exaggerated detailing, the perfect balance of practicality and style! This pattern is fully lined with a single front button closure, playful curved collar and notch lapel, long sleeves, and generous front welt pockets. Two views provide alternative length options, with View A offered in full length and View B in mid-length.
We used 3.4 metres of our 135cm wide Cinnamon Stick Brushed Wool / Nylon Coating and 2.4 metres of our Blush Japanese Cupro Lining at 122cm wide for View A. According to Annelise's measurements, we chose to make a size 6 but took 8cm off the length of the body for a better fit, Annelise is 160cm tall and we think this suits her really well! We also used our Black 90gsm Fusible Interfacing for this project and finished the coat with one of our 22.9mm Brown Recycled Polyester Buttons.
Our Poppy coat is an investment project designed to be a lifelong addition to one's wardrobe, with clean lines and a timeless shape it will stand the test of time!
